S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl is set in 2012, six years after a second disaster that overshadowed the original 1986 Chernobyl incident. The game takes place in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, which has transformed from a site of tragedy into a threat to all humanity. Players explore this dangerous world filled with anomalies, artifacts, mutants, and rival stalker factions while trying to uncover the Zone's dark secrets. The game features a living, breathing world where NPCs and monsters migrate through the Zone, engaging in activities like eating, fighting, trading and resting. Players have freedom to explore the accurately recreated post-Soviet environment, including real locations like Pripyat, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and the Duga radar installation. With open-ended gameplay and multiple paths through the story, players must survive the Zone's dangers to discover why they were brought to this haunting place.
