Safecity heeft tot doel steden veiliger te maken door gelijke toegang tot het publiek aan te moedigen.

Safecity is een platform dat via crowdsourcing persoonlijke verhalen over intimidatie en misbruik in openbare ruimtes verzamelt. Deze gegevens, die anoniem zijn, worden verzameld als hotspots op een kaart die trends op lokaal niveau aangeven. Het idee is om deze gegevens bruikbaar te maken voor individuen, lokale gemeenschappen en lokale overheden om factoren te identificeren die gedrag veroorzaken dat tot geweld leidt en om te werken aan strategieën voor oplossingen.
