  • Have you met the revamped Slackbot? It's everywhere these days — even in places it shouldn't be. For example, if you set an emoji icon for emails being posted to Slack, that icon would instead show up as Slackbot. We love you, Slackbot, but stay in your lane.

  • Highlighted text in dark mode didn't have a ton of contrast, making it hard to read the words you had selected. With this update, we’ve illuminated the problem. “Dim mode” is out; dark mode is back in.
  • Occasionally, when opening an app within Slack, the app's main page would be completely blank. We determined that this behavior was erroneous, unhelpful, and just plain confusing. Apps will now appear less tongue-tied when you access their home pages within Slack.

  • Color us surprised that custom theme colors for notifications were getting stuck, meaning if you switched to hot pink for Fuchsia Friday, you might have no choice but to continue into Magenta Monday.
