WFP Jordan Shop Monitoring

The on-site retail monitoring constitutes the WFP corporate minimum monitoring requirements for retail shops where WFP value voucher and commodity vouchers are used in pre-selected shops. The key objectives of retail monitoring are: determining whether the redemptions are taking place within the defined project requirements and processes, in a timely and orderly fashion, and in a safe environment. Spot checks are made to verify the processes followed by cooperating partners, retail staff and beneficiaries, conditions of the retail shops, and supply chain availability and quality. Retail shops where WFP beneficiaries are redeeming their WFP cash based transfer entitlement are inspected to ensure safety, cleanliness, availability of services, proximity to beneficiary households and sufficient arrangements for protection of beneficiaries and vulnerable persons.
