In it, the author collected the sciences of the Qur’an that were dispersed in separate compilations, such as reasons for revelation, knowing the occasions between verses, the science of recitations, the inimitability of the Qur’an, the abrogator and the abrogated, the syntax of the Qur’an, faces and isotopes, the science of the allegorical, the science of ambiguities, the secrets of the openings and endings of surahs, and the knowledge of Mecca and Medina. In this book, the compiler tried to sum up every single science in a nutshell, so he chronicled it, counted the books that were written about it, referred to the scholars who studied it, then mentioned its issues, clarified the sayings of the scholars about it, and conveyed the opinions of scholars of interpretation, hadith scholars, jurists, fundamentalists, scholars of Arabic and people of controversy. He divided his book into forty-seven types, and mentions in one type chapters, benefits, and alerts, so the book came from the most useful books that were classified in the sciences of the Qur’an, and everyone who came after it relied on it, especially Al-Suyuti.
