- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hosari:

Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari (September 17, 1917 - November 24, 1980) was an Egyptian Quran reciter and one of the prominent figures in this field. He was born in the village of Shubra Al-Namla, Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. He has many copies of the Qur’an recorded with different narrations.

- Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari:

Before his birth, his father had moved from Fayoum to this village in which he was born. He is an Egyptian Quran reciter who mastered reading the Noble Qur’an with the ten recitations.

- The recited Mushaf by Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hosari, Egyptian Radio version:

His father, Mr. Khalil, moved before his birth from Fayoum Governorate to the village of Shubra Al-Namla, where Al-Husari was born. His mother is Mrs. Farah, or “Farha” as the villagers call her.

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari Recitation:

His father introduced him to the book at the age of four, to memorize the Qur’an, and he completed memorization at the age of eight. He used to go from his village to the Al-Ahmadi Mosque in Tanta daily to memorize the Qur’an, and at the age of twelve he joined the religious institute in Tanta. Then learn the ten readings after that in Al-Azhar.

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hosary, intonation:

He took his certificates in that science (the science of readings) and then devoted himself to studying the sciences of the Qur’an because of his distinguished voice and good performance. In 1944 AD he applied for the radio exam and was ranked first among the applicants for the radio exam.

- Surah Al-Baqarah Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari:

In 1950 AD he was appointed reciter of the Ahmadi Mosque in Tanta, and in 1955 CE he was appointed reciter of Al-Hussein Mosque in Cairo. He was the first to record the recited audio Qur’an with the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim, and he was the first to call for the establishment of a syndicate for the reciters of the Noble Qur’an.

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari Surah Al-Baqarah:

Sheikh Al-Husari realized from an early age the importance of recitation of the Qur’an in understanding the Qur’an and delivering its message. For him, recitation is a science and fundamentals. He believes that the recitation of the Qur’an embodies the Qur’anic vocabulary as a living embodiment.

Then, he embodies the meaning that these terms aim at, just as the recitation of the Qur’an puts the reader in a rational confrontation with the Qur’anic text, which makes the reader feel the responsibility entrusted to him.

- Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari with the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim:

His daughter 'Ivraj', who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology, worked after her graduation in the National Assembly (the People's Assembly) until the rank of first undersecretary, and now heads the Sheikh Al-Husri Association for Religious and Social Services.

- Surah Al-Kahf Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari:

He used to read the Qur’an in the mosque of his village, and in the meetings of the residents there, and in 1944 he applied to the Egyptian Radio as a reciter of the Holy Qur’an, and after a competition he got the job.

The reader, Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari:

His first live broadcast was on November 16, 1944 AD, and his exclusive broadcast on the Egyptian Quran Radio continued for ten years.

- Mushaf teacher Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari:

He was appointed as a sheikh for the reading of Sidi Abdel-Motal in Tanta. On August 7, 1948, a decision was issued to appoint him as a muezzin in the Sidi Hamza Mosque, then on October 10, 1948, the decision was amended to a reciter in the mosque, while retaining his work in the reading of Sidi Abdel-Motal.

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hosary, intonation:

After that, a ministerial decision was issued assigning him to technically supervise the readers of Gharbia Governorate. On April 17, 1949, he was assigned as a reciter at Ahmad Al-Badawi Mosque in Tanta (Al-Ahmadi Mosque). In 1955 AD he moved to the Imam Hussein Mosque in Cairo.

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari Surah Al-Baqarah:

- Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari Surat Al-Kahf:

In his late days, he was keen to build a mosque, a religious institute, and a memorization school in his hometown, the village of Shubra al-Namla. At the end of his life, he bequeathed a third of his money to serve the Holy Qur’an and its memorizers, and to spend in all aspects of righteousness.

He passed away on the evening of Monday 16 Muharram 1401 AH corresponding to November 24 1980 after the evening prayer, after his journey with the Noble Book of God extended nearly fifty-five years.
