Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah is the city of the Messenger - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - the good and kind, the place of revelation, and the landing of Gabriel - peace be upon him - on the best of messengers. The light of guidance radiated, and to it the Messenger of Mercy emigrated, and in it he lived the last of his life - may God bless him and grant him peace - and in it he died, and in it he was buried, and in it he will be resurrected, and in it is his grave, may God’s prayers be upon him, and it is the blessed city that God honored and favored and made it the best of places after Mecca, and the evidence of his preference Mecca over Medina, the Holy Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said when the infidels expelled him from it and headed to Medina, he said, addressing Mecca: (By God, you are the best of God’s land, and the most beloved of God’s land to God, and if I had not been expelled from you, I would not have left).

Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah is considered one of the cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is the first Islamic capital and the second holy place in terms of importance. It is located in the western side of the Kingdom, about (400) kilometers from Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the north-east direction, and about (150) kilometers from the Red Sea to the east. The port of Yanbu, the nearest port to it, is about (220) kilometers away in the west-south direction, and its area is about (589) square kilometers, and (99) square kilometers of this area is covered by urban dwellings, and the rest is cliffs, valleys, mountains, desert and agricultural lands, and cemeteries. It has a population of approximately (1.3) million people.
