Counterfeit is an act of piggyback on others name, reputation, Intellectual property, customers, profitability, market share and future opportunities. It also impacts consumer confidence in the brand, undermines its credibility and the brand value.

There are significant advancements taking place in technology to produce counterfeit products, similar advancements were not taken place in authenticity to legitimate products. Not having efficient technology with brands and right tool to public was a gap.
