Have you ever wondered what those 4 digit codes that appear on some popular UK discount supermarket

Well, they are actually Display Until codes. In other words they are effectively the "Best By" date for the fruit or vegetable packet.

If you're interested, they follow the ISO 8601 standard, but the important thing is that this app understands them and comes to the rescue by converting them to normal dates, so you can tell if the item is still within date.

The app is simple and very easy to use, and has a built-in help screen too. The code for "today" is automatically shown when the app starts. You can also pick from date codes up to 4 weeks before or after today's code to see the code for that date.
