For centuries, runes have been used to predict, make important decisions and protect. In our time, technologies have supplemented the ancient knowledge, the mobile application is more reliable than stone, wood, bone or paper. Runes have ceased to be the lot of the elect, now everyone can influence their destiny.

What Are Runes?

The word ‘rune’ simply means mystery, whisper or secret and it’s a form of divination or oracle reading system that’s used to help gain insight into situations or questions. Runes can be made of various materials, but are most commonly made of stone or wood, and feature a symbol from the runic alphabet on them.

There are various different types of runic alphabets used on runes, with one of the oldest ones being the old Germanic runic alphabet known as ‘Elder Futhark’. The Elder Futhark contains 24 runes, the first six of which spell out the word ‘futhark’.

The Elder Futhark runes are ancient Nordic alphabets. There are 24 runes each with literal and mythological meanings that change when the rune appears upside down.

When used in runecasting, the idea is that you have one of each rune drawn on a stone or piece of polished wood. There are 5 possible positions and 4 domain manifestations for each rune. This means hundreds of interpretations, and that is not counting the connections between the runes cast.
