Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte (born May 2, 1983), better known by her stage name Mon Laferte, is a Chilean singer-songwriter and actress.

Laferte was born in Viña del Mar. She has mixed in her music different styles as rock, blues, pop, bolero, and electronic. She started being interested in starting a musician career at the age of 9, after winning a guitar in a singing contest[1]. On the next years, she entered a musical conservatory in Viña del Mar, Chile at the age of 13.[2] Soon after, she decided to began playing in bars in the city of Valparaíso and Santiago.
