You can create a shortcut on your home screen to quickly access the photo you want.

Pin images to the notification bar. Set the title and icon.
You can attach as many pictures as you like.
Notifications are not swiped, so you won't lose anything important.

Use the "Quick Access to Image" via the sharing menu for any image!
Send a picture to the notification bar to be able to quickly open it.
