The Future Ruins

Future Ruins is an exhibition project by NXS World and fanfare, the 3rd and final part of their collaboration for the /b/channel series.

NXS is presenting a limited edition of six prints, that trigger access to an augmented reality layer with works by six artists: Jon Emmony, Rick Farin, H5IO, Mary Ponomareva, SELAM X and kid xanthrax. Each speculates on a different theme related to the future of selfhood in the age of digital technology, like techno-suicide, the force of time, new forms of kinship, the invisible omnipresence of technology and the evolution of the human species.

Future Ruins is a compass, a guide for new directions in discourses on the ongoing investigation of selfhood within the precarity of the digital age. Each reflection dissects a different layered dimension of space and time, compiled together they offer a tool for prophesying of what can be deconstructed and rebuild.
