  • More products get a grade when you scan a barcode: if the database has no typed ingredient list, Toxly now reads it from a photo of the label.
  • If the product database can't be reached, you'll see "try again" instead of a wrong "not found".
  • QR codes and shipping labels are recognised, with a tip to scan the product barcode instead.
  • Product lookups are more reliable.
  • Many more skincare ingredients (PCA, amino acids, sugars, emollients) are now recognised instead of unknown.

  • Ingredients printed in French, German, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese and Japanese are now recognised directly.
  • More accurate grades: claims like "palm-oil free" or "non-hydrogenated" no longer count against a product, and similar-sounding ingredients are no longer mixed up.
  • Better recognition of cleaning and cosmetic ingredients, including EU detergent labels.
