Origins takes the events of the movie, adds a bunch of back story and tosses you in into the tattered white tank top of the one and only Weapon X. Set before the Wolverin’s films, this game chronicles the time when Logan was running with his commanding officer Stryker and Sabertooth and doing all sorts of disturbing missions, his break from the group, and his one-man mission for revenge. I'm a respectful geek myself, so I'll leave the story elements at that; no need to ruin any of the movie for those of you who have been avoiding the early reviews like the plague.

You play as Wolverine as he tries to come to terms with his seedy past, take on his brother, and become the number-one dude in the Marvel. You start the game as a lumberjack and immediately have to fight all the other lumberjacks who now want to kill you because you are too good at being a lumberjack. Later, you need to chase Sabretooth through a compound of some sort and so on. It's traditional videogame filler, but none of it makes you feel like you're Wolverine.

Wolverine's packing his healing ability, which is represented by a multi-tiered meter on the screen and below that is the Rage meter. When this bad boy's full, you can unleash the juice to make Wolvie's attacks all the more powerful and allow him to heal at super-speed.
