Anomaly

A GPS based application that provides compass bearing navigation functions without using the magnetic compass. The application is particularly useful in areas where there is a high degree of magnetic disturbance which renders the magnetic compass unusable. It is also an ideal navigation aid for use on devices that do not have a reliable magnetic field sensor.

The basic functions provided allow the user to determine their range and bearing to or from a recently fixed point of interest and can therefore be a great asset for navigating in poor weather conditions. The navigation fixes are time tagged and can be stored in memory so the application can also be useful for keeping a record of performance on timed long distance endurance events such as the Bob Graham Round etc.
