Brahma

Brahma is the god of creation. He is swayambhu, in that he is self born. Braham was the one who was there from the beginning and even before that and it is he who created the four vedas, one from each of his mouths. Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, arts and learning is Brahma's wife and she is the one who whispered the need for order in the universe in Brahma's ears.

Brahma, together with Vishnu and Shiva, forms the triumvirate of Hindu god heads.
