You have to make a group and add participants in it to start chatting. Participant can leave the group if he/she wants too. If you want to only chat with one person, even then you need to create a group and just add that particular participant (make sure that participant have registered himself/herself with the application).

Furthermore, only admin can delete or edit the participants from the group.
