Michael Joseph Jackson (born in Gary, Indiana, United States, August 29, 1958 - died in Los Angeles, California, United States, June 25, 2009 at the age of 50) is a singer and songwriter from the United States. He is known as the "King of Pop" and popularized the "Moonwalk" dance movement that has become his trademark.

This second album survived in the top 10 Billboard 200 for 80 consecutive weeks. Seven songs from this album simultaneously made it to the top ten of Billboard Hot — 100, three of which were "Billie Jean," "Beat It," and "Wanna Be Startin 'Somethin'."
