Operation Smile is the largest international NGO dedicated to bringing together volunteer doctors to operate the smile of children with cleft lip and cleft palate for free. Our work directly impacts the hope of poor children with fissures in Brazil.

Every three minutes a child is born with a fissure. Unable to eat, speak properly and smile, this child, already discriminated by its social condition, isolates itself and loses the prospect of inclusion. Putting on a boyfriend, a job, passing a lipstick will have another meaning for those who carry a gaping mark on the face.

This application is the result of a pilot project whose objective is the mobilization of the Brazilian population to survey the largest possible number of people with fissures in our country. Through it, anyone can register cases of cleft lip and / or palate in their family and community, sending to the team Smile full information about the inclusive patient with audio, photos and videos.

The information received from the population will help Operation Smile's team and partners in the best mapping and treatment of our country's cases.

We believe that every child deserves to live with dignity and we work to restore the child's emotional, affective and psychological well-being, giving her the possibility to smile and feel happy as any other child.
