Visitors have the option of walking around Reykholt, lead through the history and culture of the place. You can also see a bird´s eye view map and get to know each site with the help of images and text.

A visit to Reykholt provides a unique insight into the history of Iceland as well as offering charming surroundings for walks and spending time in the tranquil great outdoors.

Options:

Snorrastofa provides the indoor and outdoor guides at the visitors´reception on the ground floor of Reykholt´s Church – Snorrastofa. The entrance is by the lower car park.

The outdoor guide is downloaded onto the visitor´s device and can be used without an internet connection. With the aid of GPS technology, information about each site switches on as you get to it.

The indoor guide is included in the entrance fee for the exhibition Snorri Sturluson and his Time. The audio guide is available in Icelandic, English, Danish, German and French. The indoor guide can be bought in the Guest reception

Verið velkomin í Reykholt, stað Snorra Sturlusonar

Snorrastofa gefur út þessa leiðsögn, sem veitir fróðleik um staðinn og eykur ánægju og upplifun gesta er þeir ganga um helstu viðkomustaði hans. Þar má einnig kynna sér þá þjónustu sem gestum staðarins stendur til boða.

Með leiðsögninni býðst gestum að ganga um staðinn þar sem Guðmundur Ingi Þorvaldsson leiðir þá í gegnum sögu hans og menningu. Gestir geta jafnframt kynnt sér yfirlitskort og hvern viðkomustað fyrir sig með hjálp mynda og texta.

Hér eru einnig aðgengilegar upplýsingar um náttúruperlur í nágrenninu, veitingar og þjónustu, gistimöguleika, almenningssamgöngur, veðurskilyrði og afþreyingu.

Heimsókn í Reykholt veitir gestum margvíslega innsýn í Íslandssöguna og veitir möguleika til heillandi útveru, gönguferða og friðsældar.

Snorrastofa veitir inni- og útileiðsögn í gestamóttöku sinni á jarðhæð Reykholtskirkju-Snorrastofu. Inngangur er við neðra bílaplan.

Efni útileiðsagnarinnar er hlaðið niður í tæki gestanna og nýtist án þess að vera í netsambandi. Með hjálp GPS-tækninnar vakna upplýsingar um hvern viðkomustað þegar honum er náð.

Innileiðsögnin felst í aðgangi að sýningu um Snorra Sturluson og samtíð hans . Boðið er uppá hljóðleiðsögn um sýninguna á  íslensku, ensku, dönsku, þýsku og frönsku. Kaupa þarf aðgang að sýniningunni og hljóðleiðsögn um sýninguna.
