Connect these special railway atmosphere with a walk on the viaduct footpath in Altenbeken. The 29 km long way around Altenbeken is a successful combination of rail and natural experience. Using the smartphone app a walk on the viaduct footpath is a very special interactive experience for young and old.

With the free app for smartphones and tablet computers (iOS & Android) their competent hiking guide always in your pocket. The app is part of the GPS Adventure Park Teutoburger Forest Nature Park / Eggegebirge. This has been honored several times by UNESCO as "Sustainable Development Official Project of the Decade of Education".

On a hike through the well-kept and well-marked paths fantastic views open up repeatedly on the mighty railway viaduct - the largest stone railway bridge in Europe. The German Hiking Association has the viaduct footpath awarded Qualitätsweg "Walking in Germany" since in 2009.
