In the past, braces used to tidy up the mess of tooth that is considered messy. But the high cost of putting braces finally makes this treatment a status symbol of someone. This is especially true in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Moreover, many celebrities are wearing colored stirrup, so many teenagers are tempted to come wear it even though it does not need.

Installing stirrup (original) can cost from Rp 5,000,000, so only people "are" able to do so. For teenagers who are not able to do the installation of the original stirrup, there are fake stirrup that can be obtained at a price of around Rp 950.000. Thus, they can outwit others and think they can afford the more expensive original stirring, AFP reported.
