ECS Tracking

Guidelines To Use the ECS Tracking Application:

1) First of all please make sure internet connectivity is available while using app inorder to see the live vehicle track.

2) After installing apk wait for couple of minutes inorder to communicate with server.

3) Here you will find 2 categories:

A) New User(Default)

a) Registered User:

- Enter valid email id

- Uncheck the demo user checkbox

- Click on commence.

b) Unregistered User(i.e Demo User):

- Enter valid email id

- Click on commence.

B) Existing User

a) Registered User:

- Enter registered email id

- Uncheck the demo user checkbox

- Enter Application ID which you have received by mail at the time of registration. If in case not able to remember, enter valid email id, click on forgot and see you have received

- Click on commence.

b) Unregistered User(i.e Demo User):

- Enter valid email id

- Click on commence.

4) You will be redirected to notification screen and will see welcome message.

5) Later, go back and again click on ECS Tracking app icon(i.e already installed now).

6) Wait for couple of minutes to communicate with server

7) Here you will find 2 main options

a) Map View :

- Initially by default will see the star markers which indicates the current position alongwith their status(i.e moving/stop and so on) of all available vehicles.

- We can select the vehicle from dropdown, date(if required), click on search(i.e placed next to date) and you will see plotted route and markers with more information like vehicleno,status,speed,address,date,time .

- Also we can see different map view option(i.e normal, satellite, hybrid). Either of the option can be selected to see the change in map view.

b) Data View

- Here you can see time, location, speed in dynamic tabular format of all vehicles or specific vehicleno with respect to date selection.

8) In addition to this following are the options if you click on menu button which is mostly placed at bottom of screen or vertical 3 dots:

a) Settings:

- Here we can view but authorised user can modify the vehicle name, driver name since they keep changing at regular interval.

b) Notification:

- At any point of time, if we want to see the received notification so far we can click and view it.

i) General: Will show all the messages.

ii) DropDown Categories: Here we can see available vehicles which will show respective details.

c) Refresh:

- We have already integrated inbuilt mechanism for auto-refresh which will refresh the tracking after every 1min in presence on internet. However, provided alternative option to refresh to see live tracking.

9) Last but not the least, we will be able to see last 5 days records(i.e autocleanup of data) which will keep device away from “ Out Of Memory” kind of issues.
