Ishikawa FBD

Ishikawa FBD is an app you can use to organize your thoughts on the lines of cause and effect and create Ishikawa diagrams. you can store and share these diagrams. Ishikawa diagrams allow management to determine which issues have to be addressed in order to gain or avoid a particular event. In Failure Analysis it is very common to list failure causes and sub causes to take corrective action. It is one of the seven basic tools of quality control. The diagram helps managers to track down the reasons for imperfections, variations, defects, or failures.

Advantages

Highly visual brainstorming tool which can spark further examples of root causes

Quickly identify if the root cause is found multiple times in the same or different causal tree

Disadvantages

Complex defects might yield a lot of causes which might become visually cluttering

Interrelationships between causes are not easily identifiable

Creating the Ishikawa diagram is done in the app in just three steps

1.Enter the problem statement and major causes.

2.Enter the minor causes for each of the major causes.

3.Click on the show diagram icon to view the diagram.

You can then save the diagram as a jpg file.

Once you have saved the file you can share the file and send it in Whatsapp, Gmail file, copy it to Google Drive ...

You can pan and zoom the diagram.
