Learning Grafting Plants

Many of the techniques that the farmers do to improve fruit quality of their crops, one of which is grafting (Adherence, Grafting). This method may be less well known than by grafting or cuttings, but if we compare the quality of the end result, the product of grafting is certainly better because this technique combines two two superior properties of two different plants. Grafting fruit trees is fairly easy and can be done by anyone!

One way of vegetative propagation and how to get a good seed / excel is by grafting. This method has been used many farmers in different regions. A variety of seeds of plants, especially fruit plants are produced by grafting.

Grafting is a way to improve the quality of plants by attaching a piece of bark from the stem that shoots edged up on a slice of another tree bark from the rootstock to grow together into a new plant.

But it is different with this one grafting technique that is by attaching rootstock and scions, without being cut. The way is as follows:

1. Selecting the Lower Batang and Batang above.

Choose two similar trees to be connected, with the following provisions:

 - Trunk Down: to have roots and stems would be nice but its fruit is not good, for example, selected as the rootstock is a mango tree Mangifera odorata

 - Trunk Above: Perkaran not great but good fruit / sweet, for example, selected as the upper stem sweet mango tree Arum.

2. Create both rootstock and scions

Peel the stem two trees that will be continued as wide as approximately 5 cm sampi half a rod-like split in two. That must be considered knife used must be clean and should not be peeled stems are broken.

3. Tie the stems together.

Combine the two rods that have been peeled tersbut by attaching two rods that have been peeled earlier. Then tied with a plastic rope or other rope. Put a wooden crutch to not falter and broken.

4. Wait until both rods together.

After that wait a few weeks (usually one month, preferably longer) so that both rods together. Do not forget to water regularly so that the tree was not dead. When the eye patch unified and fresh green means grafting was successful, but when brown to black and dry means of attachment failed.
