Marker Map

Marker Map is a small private world clock styled like a corkboard with colourful push pins and paper notes. Your home city sits at the very top as a big pinned paper note with a red push pin; every contact you add becomes another paper note pinned to the board, sorted by hour offset. Read the board at a glance and you know exactly where every city is in its day without doing hour math. The "+ ADD" button is a cream paper sticky-note pill at the BOTTOM CENTRE of the screen -- right where a thumb naturally lands.

THE BOARD

The whole screen is a dark moss corkboard. Cream paper notes sit pinned on top of it, each one a little crooked just like real life. The home note is biggest and has a red push pin; contact notes are smaller and have pins in different colours (red, blue, yellow, green) that map to time-of-day status -- red for working hours, blue for nightside, yellow for dawn/dusk, green for daylight off-hours.

THE NOTES

Each contact note is a single paper card with:

- a coloured push pin at the top edge (status indicator)

- a "scotch tape" strip across the top corner

- the city name in serif caps

- the IANA timezone in typewriter mono

- a big digital time in serif

- a delta chip ("+5h", "-3h") inked at the bottom

- a tiny day-strip drawn in pencil

Pinned (favourited) notes get a paperclip added in the top-right corner.

THE BOTTOM TABS

Three paper TABS at the bottom, styled as torn-paper labels: HOME / ATLAS / SETUP. The active tab is highlighted with an ink underline.

THE STICKY-NOTE BUTTON

The "+ ADD" affordance is a big cream sticky-note PILL at the bottom-centre of the screen, just above the tabs. Tap it and a compose sheet rises up: name, city picker, notes. It is the most reachable spot on the screen for a thumb -- by design.

THE ATLAS TAB

Every unique city you track, rendered as INDEX CARDS sorted by hour offset. Each row: city label, IANA id, day-shift hint, contacts in that city, delta chip, big local time. A + ADD CITY pill top-right opens the same searchable picker. Long-press a row to remove all contacts in that city.

THE EDITOR

Tap a note to open the editor. Name field, city picker (115+ IANA cities plus raw UTC offsets), free notes field. Save, pin, archive, or delete from a row of action buttons at the top.

SETUP

Pick your HOME city. Add a custom display label. Toggle 24h vs 12h clock. Tune the working window to any whole hour 0-23 using +/- steppers or by typing.

PRIVACY

Marker Map keeps every note on your device. No sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ad SDK. The store is encrypted at rest with a key that lives in the Android Keystore. No network permissions are requested. If you uninstall the app, the data goes with it.
