What is Patois?

Patois (also known as Jamaican Patois or Jamaican Creole) is an English-based language that is inherent to some of the caribbean islands. It got well know by Rastafarian people who use it all over the world. The most Reggae songs or Dubplates are accompanied with lyrics in this language.
