SATIVUS EXPERT

Sativus Expert is a part of the larger Crop Health Management system called Sativus. Sativus supports farm extension service providers during the diagnosis of pests, diseases and nutrition deficiencies of different crops, and while prescribing management plans. The service providers can seek support from the experts of their organisation whenever they find it difficult to diagnose independently. The Sativus Expert App is a part of the expert support module of Sativus, and is used by the experts of the organisation. When required, a service provider submits pertinent data to the experts. The experts receive the data on the Sativus Expert App and respond to the service provider using the same App.

Sativus Expert comes with several features.

Auto-escalation

The auto-escalation feature in Sativus ensures timely response from the experts to the service providers. A support request from a service provider is received by the ‘undiagnosed’ bin in the expert app. If the experts do not respond to the request within the stipulated time period, the request automatically moves to ‘parked’ and later to ‘rejected’ bins. Sativus intimates the Admin regarding the delay at every step.

Discussion forum

The forum allows exchange of opinion between the designated experts of the organisation. Such exchanges become crucial while handling certain tricky situations. The response can be sent to the service provider once a decision has been arrived.

Call functionality

Sativus Expert has an inbuilt call function using which the experts can call the farmer, or the field user, if they need any clarification.

Problems listed on Sativus

If the diagnosis leads to a problem that is listed on Sativus, then the Expert needs to simply select the name of the problem. The Sativus system shall automatically send the prescribed solution after considering the severity of the problem. This saves an enormous amount of time for the experts and prevents any form of error.

Unlisted problems

If the diagnosed problem is not among the ones listed on Sativus, then the experts can key-in the name and the recommendation. Such issues are automatically looped back to ensure that the problem gets listed on Sativus.

Recent activities

The Sativus Expert provides historical information on the activities of the past 30 days (the entire history can be accessed from the portal).
