基督徒的靈命路程，是一生之久的學習和探險過程。那些選擇成為主耶穌基督門徒的人，在剛開始的時候，都不太確定有什麼樣的路程在前面等著他們，也不清楚該如何邁開第一個步伐。如果你從佛羅里達州的邁阿密（美國版圖最南端的大城市）出發，目的地要到達阿拉斯加州的安哥拉治市（美國版圖最北端的大城市），但是卻不查看地圖，也不詢問方向，那你這趟旅程的愉快程度，就會大大地減低了。而這條通往永生的天路歷程，當然更為無比的重要。所以，我們都需要有一個方向指引帶領我們。

The Christian walk is a life-long process and an adventurous journey. Those who choose to become disciples of Jesus Christ often are unsure about what is expected of them and what steps to take first. If you start walking from here to there without looking at a map or asking directions, your chances of a pleasant journey will be limited. The journey from here to eternity is infinitely more important and we all need directions.
