Christian music is a music genre that involves songs that articulate communal or personal belief regarding Christianity. This genre has themes like worship, penitence, praise, or lament, and varies broadly in terms of purpose, definition, and culture and social context around the world.

Christian music is performed for a variety of purposes, such as religious or ceremonial purposes, aesthetic pleasure, worship, or even entertainment. These festivals often happen during summertime and attract a lot of people, including campus groups and church youth groups. Kentucky’s Ichthus Music Festival is the oldest music festival in the United States which began in 1970. Outside the United States, there are festivals like New Zealand's Parachute Music Festival (the largest Christian music festival in the Southern Hemisphere), and England's Big Church Day Out Festival.
