Probably nobody will argue that the Cossacks are a very interesting "phenomenon" in the Ukrainian (and even world) history. How many different references to them are, and not only Ukrainian. However, along with their courage, power, cunning and intelligence, a droplet of mysticism is often found, which makes them more than just soldiers. In addition to weapons, the strength and ability to fight well, the Cossacks had another significant advantage - wit and trick. Almost always they could quietly sneak into the enemy and catch him by surprise. Of course it added a chance to win.
