關於DNS Resolver

Local DNS resolver & ad/tracker sinkhole with live traffic dashboard.

DNS Resolver is a local DNS resolver, sinkhole, and traffic dashboard for Android. It blocks ads and trackers at the DNS level and gives you full visibility into your device's network requests.

Run it as a device-wide VPN that routes all system DNS queries through a local sinkhole, or as a lightweight local UDP server on 127.0.0.1 — your choice. It supports DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), DNS-over-TLS (DoT), and plain UDP upstreams, along with custom blocklists and per-app split tunneling for fine-grained control over which apps use the resolver.

• Real-time traffic logs — see every DNS query as it happens.

• Quick Settings tile — toggle protection from your control panel.

• Home-screen widget — live status and query stats, with a one-tap power button.

• DoH / DoT / UDP upstream support — choose your preferred resolver.

• Custom blocklists & per-app split tunneling.

Built in pure Java — no Kotlin, no Jetpack Compose, no Firebase or Google Play Services — using just AndroidX and Material components. Free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license.

🛡️ Security Fixes
• DNS Fallback Protection: Prevented silent fallbacks to unencrypted plaintext DNS when DoH (DNS over HTTPS) or DoT (DNS over TLS) connections fail.
• Hostname Verification: DoT now strictly verifies the server hostname to mitigate man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
• Widget Action Isolation: Restricted widget actions to prevent unauthorized execution by third-party applications.
🌐 Local Server & Networking
• Secure Default Binding: Local server mode now binds to 127.0.0.1 by default instead of exposing all interfaces.
• Local Network Sharing: Added a new setting allowing users to safely share DNS services across their local network (LAN).
