Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.80, released on May 6, 2025, is a minor update that introduces several experimental features for the 2025 Summer Drop and fixes several bugs.

New Flat World Presets
You can now choose from eight pre-made flat worlds, such as Classic Flat, Tunnelers' Dream, Water World, Snowy Kingdom, Desert, and more in the Advanced tab when creating a new world.
Parity with Java Edition
Blocks like flowers, bamboo, hanging roots, and others now have the same random scroll interval as Java, improving visual consistency between versions.
Mafia repair
Reverted a change that caused invincible pets to disappear, improving stability in previous worlds.
Item Changes
Using rockets with Elytra now only provides a boost while gliding, even if the rocket is placed on a block.
Realm Improvements
New Advanced tab to select the server region where the Realm will be hosted, with automatic or manual options to optimize the connection.
Filters and UI
Enabled offensive language filter on consoles and improved storage management to avoid out-of-space errors.
VR Removal
Access to virtual and mixed reality modes has been removed in this version.
Changes to blocks, mobs, and items
Updated blocks
Flowers, bamboo, hanging roots, mangrove propagules, corals, and tall grass now have more natural animations and positions, just like in Java Edition.
Mobs
Behavior improvements to prevent unexpected disappearances, and some mobs regain abilities like walking on lava (wither skeletons and zombified piglins).
Items
Adjustments to rocket operation with Elytra for more intuitive and balanced use during flight.
