A collaboration of Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) Nepal and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Idea Factory Nepal is a technology solution catered especially for the Micro Entrepreneurs (MEs) across the country. With the sole motive of empowering the MEs and broadening the scope of their hard work, the Idea Factory offers a web based solution decomposed into the ‘Nepali.Market’ and ‘IdeaStoreNepal’. The dedicated stores aid in categorizing ideas and products with their distinct features.

The Nepali.Market is an e-commerce portal aims at providing platform for marketing local produces. It is a showcase of the local products that the MEs have been able to produce. Simplified and localized for easy access, the online store mimics the actual e-shopping experience as close as any popular e-shopping portal such as e-bay or amazon.

The IdeaStore unlike the Superstore is an ME centric module. While the superstore is available for all willing shoppers (mostly based in the urban areas), the IdeaStore is a repository of all the possible avenues yet to be explored. It aims at sharing and exploring ideas of entrepreneurship and investment among local people. It contains ideas on micro entrepreneurship or farming and avails the facility where anyone can share his/her ideas, explore others ideas and seek business partnership and linkages. With the right match and suitable funding, the dreams of aspiring MEs can be turned into reality.
