The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship (2019 WJHC) will be the 43rd Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It will begin on December 26, 2018, and will end with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2019. This will mark the 13th time that Canada has hosted the IHWJC.
On December 1, 2016, it was announced that Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia had won the bid to host the 2019 World Juniors.[ It will be the second time that Vancouver has been the primary host of the tournament and the first time that Victoria has hosted in any capacity.
The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C., from Dec 26 to Jan 5. Ten teams are participating - Canada’s National Junior Team will play in Group A with the Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia and Switzerland.
Every preliminary-round and medal-round game, including all Team Canada games, will be broadcast live on TSN and available for live stream on the TSN app and TSN.ca (check local listings for broadcast information in your area).

Hockey Canada has announced the release of the full schedule for the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships to be co-hosted in the cities of Victoria and Vancouver at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and Rogers Arena respectively.
The 43rd edition of the international tournament will take place from December 26, 2018 to January 5, 2019 with Victoria hosting two pre-tournament games on Wednesday, December 19th and Friday, December 21st at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
Victoria will host Group B, comprised of Sweden, USA, Finland, Slovakia and Kazakhstan. Group A in Vancouver will include Canada, Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Denmark.
