Carolina Giraldo Navarro known professionally as Karol G, is a Colombian singer and songwriter. He is mostly described as a trap artist of reggaeton and Latin, but has experimented with various other genres including reggae andsertaneja. She is also noted for her prominent female presence in the reggaeton scene.

Born and raised in Medellin, Giraldo launched his career as a teenager, appearing in the Colombian spin-off of The X Factor. Karol G moved to New York City in 2014 to learn more about the music industry and signed with Universal Music Latino.
