Its reads and verifies the RFID chip embedded in electronic passports.(ePassport, or, in ICAO 9309 terminology, Machine Readable Travel Documents: MRTD). Thus, its reads the embedded chip using NFC and displays the biographical and biometric information of the document holder.
App is completely doesn't collect any personal information. Data is kept only in memory and removed as soon as you close the app. Passport data is never uploaded to any remote server.
