Limit

Limit is the perfect utility app which allows users to prevent data overage charges once the user's mobile data plan has expired or exhausted.

Background:

Within Jamaica, the mobile phone operator Digicel provides mobile subscribers various data plans for their mobile data needs. The tenure of these plans range from one day, to as long as one month for prepaid customers. The provider alerts the subscriber via SMS advising the user that the subscribed plan will expire at a given time.

The Problem:

By default, your mobile device allows you to connect to the internet by turning on a mobile data icon. However, once your data plan has been fully utilized, the mobile data icon is still on and you are charged mobile data overage costs.

The Solution:

Limit works by detecting Digicel SMS notifying the subscriber that their data subscription is exhausted and automatically turns of the mobile data icon. No more overage costs.
