Many new species descriptions have been added, including a comprehensive new section dedicated to introduced plant species.

Local occurrence data is now available based on research station records. Where those records are not available, Atlas of Living Australia occurrence data are used.

The identification system has been enhanced to support combined searching by name, taxonomic grouping, location, colour (and size/wingspan/depth where relevant and available).
