-This program measures and plots the magnetic field as the phone is scanned over a surface.

- Measurement differences are made between an initial reference measurement and values obtained when scanning.

-A moving cursor is used to guide movement of the phone.

-When moving the phone try to maintain the same orientation and distance from the surface. Consider using a guide grid on the surface to improve location accuracy

-Use Airplane mode to reduce influence of background processes.

-A default average of 250 readings is made for each location. Larger nos. of averages reduces background noise, but gives a slower scan.

-A default scaling factor of 10 gives a full scale range of 25µT. Larger factors will increase sensitivity but will reduce the range.

The screenshots show images made with the phone at 1cm, 2cms and 3cms above the surface of a test piece. Beneath the surface of the test piece are located, from top left to bottom right, nails with diameters of 1.2mm, 2.5mm, 2.8mm, 3.1mm, 3.8mm and 4.9mm.
