Modern Risk Dice

If, when you were playing Risk you find it sometimes too random because the dices are totally random and independent so there are some rounds in which you could lose every unit even you’ve played great with a solid strategy.

Example attacking 10 units against 2 it will occur in 1 of every 720 moves that the attacker loses all his units.

Example attacking 10 units against 5 it can occur that one losses all loosing nothing the opponent, happens almost every game.

To avoid that we have created a system that calculates losses of each player, aggressor and defender. It is a complex sum of some random numbers to calculate the strength of each player and that’s the base to get the losses. So each player will kill a proportion of the units playing. There is still some randomness but if you attack with a high number of units you will assure at least some damage to the defender and vice versa.

Example attacking 10 units against 3 it will never occur that the aggressor loses. Maximum loss of aggressor will be 2 and the defender will lose the country.

Example attacking 10 units against 5 the maximum loss of the aggressor will be 8 and at least 2 and the loss of the defender will be between 3 and 5 (13 if he had).

There is still a higher chance of the defender to win but less randomness.
