The jurisdiction of Saurashtra University includes Amreli, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot and Surendra Nagar districts. The University has several colleges affiliated to it imparting Undergraduate and Postgraduate education. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC, has accredited the university with Grade A.
