ABOUT APP :

JyeshtaGauriPooja, one of the popular vratas observed in Bhadrapada month in Maharashtra as per Marathi calendar. It is observed duringJyesthanakshatra hence known as JyesthaGaurivrata. This three day puja usually starts on sixth day of bhadrapad month and ends on eigth day of month.

Some households also call it as Mahalaxmi. Godessgauri is worshiped and offered food consisting of sixteen types of vegetable dishes, sweets, rice preparations and fruits. JyesthaGauriare brought into the house in pairs: Jyeshtha and Kanishtha, Sakhi and Parvati etc. The hostess of the house arranges get together (" Haldi-Kumkum") commonly in her house on second day: Gauripujan. The ways of celebration of this festival differs from caste ti caste.

In this App, entire detail pooja is performed by Shri. MahadevVaishampayanGuruji, one of the renowned scholar. Instructions for performing pooja are given at each and every instance and also the importance of performing pooja is also explained by guruji.
