Active Voice

When it comes to English grammar rules, you can start with your own voice. Every human language begins with an active sentence with a subject or "doer." In English, the verb (what is being done) follows the subject. If there is an object (recipient of the action), it comes after the action. The formula looks like this:

Subject+Verb+Object

She goes to school.

Conjunction

Sometimes you want to combine two ideas with another S + V + O combination. When you do, you need a coordination connection. The addition of Coordinating Connection creates a new setting for you to follow.

Subject+Verb+Object, COORDINATING CONJUNCTION+Subject+Verb+Object
