Project Overview

In 2020-21, many countries around the world are still trying to figure out the best way to support students who have been pushed into completely virtual university programs due to the Global threat of Covid-19. This has led to confusion and frustration for students and teacher as they try to solve the problems of virtual schooling, university rules, and e-classes without ever meeting other students, teachers, or other university staff face-to-face. The lack of solutions has been one of the biggest struggles we have had ourselves as university students focused on building futures for ourselves in a pandemic.

What is Solvify

Solvify is a points-based mobile app that works as a communication link to encourage interactions between students, teachers, and other university staff during a time of primary virtual teaching. The app operates like a game-focused rewards system that benefits both students and the universities.

Why it's needed ?

To support university students like ourselves during this unusual time in our lives, we have created an app named Solvify to serve as a communication link between student to student and student to teacher, while also facilitating guidance and support from other university officials.

How it works ?

Actually it is a points-based app especially designed to encourage success through interactions. The app operates like a game-focused rewards system where students get “Solvify points” for signing up, asking questions, answering questions to support other students, and many more ways which encourages the use of the app. Once a specific number of points is “won”, the student would have the option to redeem their points. Students can also purchase more points from the app itself to complete redeeming levels.

Advantages of Solvify Points

These points would be used within the university stationary store as discounts for purchases, event passes, or course book rebates, which would be an incentive for the university shops and administration to also invest in the use of the app if students are receiving the support they need while also helping the university financially.
