SpellWell - Spelling for kids

This is a game with must to know words for kids and how to spell them. This 'Self-Class' game is designed to give an easy or would say visual way to know common English words and their spelling.

We all know how hard this is, so the emphasis is on having fun with child and learning with ease. After all, if child enjoy their learning, it will keep their interest to learn more week after week without even knowing, and no doubt their spelling ability will improve.

THE GAME

It has five categories to design the practice on game so that it makes easy where to keep focus and keep practicing: Alphabets, Numbers, Vegetables, Animals and Fruits.

Game is designed to play in two ways. Player can switch the mode he wants to play from “Settings” page.

Mode 1: Scramble: Words will be scrambled and player has to click the buttons in the right order of correct spelling. After clicking on all buttons, if the spelling is correct, “next” button will be visible to move forward.

Result Card

a. There will be result card at the end of game. Result card can be turn off/on using settings page.

b. Result card will show time taken, score and stars gained by player.

c. Words spelled wrongly will also be shown on result card.

d. Word will be counted as wrongly spelled only after all letters are chosen and spelling is incorrect. Unless word is completed, player can correct it as many times.

Corrections: Any time if player wants to correct spelling, it can be done by clicking on same letter in from spelled letter or “Retry” button.

Guidance

a. If player needs guidance while playing, help should be enabled from settings page.

b. If help is enabled, clicking on picture will show the correct spelling of word for few seconds to have a glimpse of word and also I will spell it for you.

Multi Player

a. Game can be enabled to play for multiple players. Just enable the “Multiplayer” in settings. Then game will ask the player name before it starts.

b. Performance of all players can be seen in statistics for all different categories as number of stars.

Mode 2: Just Read: This will show only correct spelling of word and player can learn by reading the spelling of word. I will also read with you if sound is on. To turn on this feature, enable the just read feature in settings.

a. No results will be shown in this mode. [obviously doesn’t make any sense].

b. No name will be prompted to enter before starting the game.

At the end, if kids play this game regularly they not only would be able to learn spelling of many things but also would be able to recognize as per their nature of fruits, vegetable, numbers etc.
