Cross relies on your Bluetooth Low Energy radio available on common smartphones advertise your random alphanumerical identity, the ID, and retrieve peers IDs next to you (ranging 30 to 100 ft). The identities are provided by a database which only stores your unique device identifier to provide you an ID and associate information of profile photo, peers crossed, and messages. No other information is stored, and you can literally disappear at any time, upon flushing all information related to your ID from the database. Furthermore, any crossed ID can be removed from your list, which instantly removes your ID from the list of the removed crossed ID.
