Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is committed to providing potable water to every citizen of the state. Rajasthan, despite being the largest state of the country (in terms of area), has meager water resources. Erratic rainfall, depleting water table and huge livestock make the task of providing potable water, even more challenging. Not just the quantity, but also the quality (fluoride, salinity, etc.) of available water, makes PHED’s task even more difficult. Despite all these hurdles PHED is leaving no stone unturned to fulfill its commitment. PHED with a state-wide office network and use of state of art Reverse Osmosis, De-fluoridation, SCADA, IT and Solar Energy technology are providing safe drinking water in the remotest places of Rajasthan. The WIMS initiative aims to establish a centralized monitoring system for both the potable water supply and industrial and municipal wastewater systems across the state to optimize resource utilization and improve service delivery. Yokogawa will leverage the open, scalable architecture of its FAST/TOOLS SCADA system to integrate legacy SCADA installations in one hundred geographically remote locations into a single network. The company is responsible for implementing water network management and analytics software, as well as developing mobile applications for field personnel. Water flow and energy consumption data from the multiple SCADA systems have transferred regularly to a central command center and data storage facility. The new monitoring system is providing a real-time view of assets and the distribution process in dashboards that are optimized by purpose and target user. The new network has enabled easier expansion of the water supply and treatment monitoring system as demand grows in the future.

This mobile app will be used by most of the government officers and employees working in Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to monitor and manage all data and reports related to the number of Reverse Osmosis plants, De-fluoridation units, number of solar pumps and many more things based on their location and designation.
