MATERIALS:
- craft pumpkin
- yellow spray paint
- white cardstock
- craft paint in a variety of colors
- adhesive magnetic sheets

Follow instructions on spray can. Make sure you're doing this step in a well-ventilated area. Apply two to three coats to achieve and even look. Let dry 10 minutes in between coats.
- Create Emoji Facial Features
This step will vary slightly depending on what facial features you want to create. For the heart-eyes emoji, draw eyes on cardstock and cut out. Then paint red and let dry. Draw a mouth, cut out and paint brown. If you know what color facial features you want ahead of time, skip the painting step by buying colored cardstock instead of white.
- Cut Magnets
Using thin, adhesive magnet sheets, cut four small rectangles for eyes and two longer rectangles for the mouth. Note that you will have to play around with how large or small these magnets should be depending on how large and what shape your facial features are.
- Attach Magnets
Attach two of the small rectangles on the dried, spray-painted pumpkin and two on the back of the heart eyes. Place the magnets for the mouth in the mouth spot and on the back of the cardstock mouth.
- Reveal Your Mood
Attach the eyes and mouth to reveal the emoji. Switch out features as your mood changes!
